I don't read reddit, however, if its true, what does it matter? And you do know this story is true, don't you? I'm not even going to bother to post a link. Mr. Urine bag has been in interviewed by many major news outlets. You won't have to go far to find a link to the video with his interview in it.
Hey man, if Abdulmutallab had a urine bag he'd have been nailed for sure!! Or at least soaked in his own urine. And you know how Arabs are about bodily fluids...
You're a TSA agen, you are facing a bald, middle-aged white guy telling me he has a colostomy bag (or urine bucket, or whatever) attached to his stomach. He even shows you the bag. Do you:
A) Wave him through relatively secure that your gut instinct is correct: he's a bald, middle-aged white guy with a medical appliance attached to his body that will fail if you fool with it, and wave him on through.
B) Detain him, check out his story, what you can of background, and then wave him on through because you can never stay one step ahead of the "terrorists".
C) Grope him mercilessly until his urine bag breaks, then analyze the resulting liquid for explosives because you're a mindless Gov. droid and the procedures don't cover "urine bags".
Well, we all know which choice the Gov. opted for.
In this age of AIDS & other STD-awareness, sneeze masks, and the like who knew that being molested & sexually assaulted would be the new act of submission to our ruling powers.
...because my initial impression would be to get with my marketing guys and see if we come up with a mutually beneficial deal with Paper Jamz. I bet it would go over better than a lead balloon. Or a law suit.
Suing because you found adult content somewhere on a website is ridiculous enough. But no one seems to be pointing out the obvious: 1 BILLION DOLLARS? There's no way anyone is taking this seriously.
"Accept the fact that there are people who are trying to kill Americans."
Oh? And what did you suppose we Americans were thinking this was all about? Corrupt politicians in Washington making a ton of dough on "terrorism"?? Nawww...
Yeah, our security is soft compared to Israel. Every been through Ben-Gurion? No naked scanner machines. And yet very effective.
I love the English country and weather. The only thing really wrong with it is 10 seconds in your eyes are dragged through the courtyard of a group of those horrible rent-controlled government flats from the 60's. Too bad, the rest of the video is quite nice.
I would LOVE to be able to be responsible for my own security. Unfortunately the Fed and most local governments have seen fit to make sure that I receive the maximum amount of pain and annoyance if I were ever to make use of any effective security. We're all pretty much relegated to a telephone as our first line of defense. So, as the villain rides off after raping and murdering my daughter I feel secure in the knowledge that that cell phone is fully charged and ready to dial at a moment's notice.
Re: Re: ...and I want Bacon Cheeseburgers without the fat.
Oh, by the way, I just heard on a radio interview I mentioned earlier in this forum that our Lord of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff may have a monetary interest in these scanners, making them more about profits and less about real effectiveness anyway...

"If you want the peace of mind that someone's not going to pull out a box cutter and slit you carotid artery, you're going to have to deal with a disgruntled employee touching your junk."
That's not how the Israeli's see it. Just listened to an interview on the radio with a reporter and an Israeli security expert. Ben-Gurion International is the safest airport in the world, and its smack dab in the middle of one of the hottest regions in the world. How do they do it? Not by patting down 3 year olds other reactive methods.
Based on the lettering font and the tattoo-like designs I'm guessing these two products are going after the same ethnic market, A-B said "We need to get a piece of that market too."

I enjoy a nice scotch from time to time, especially when I'm flying, so I used to bring a flask with me. $5 for a airliner bottle, give me a break. So soon after 9/11 and the institution of the TSA tyranny I forgot about my flask and this one punk tell me to pour it out. 10 year old scotch. I said "Christ, you can smell it and tell what it is..." the smell of scotch is pretty distinctive. Didn't matter. So I poured it out, and went ahead and paid for a airline bottle. Nice scam.

Well I do. The problem for me however is
1) Not even a little teh-ghay.
2) Even if I were the TSA agents I've encountered so far are not very good looking.
