If the streaming provider isn't making the data publicly available or even available to the content providers, then yeah, there's a big role for Nielsen and they should have started doing this the moment Netflix.

If you make jokes about animals that makes a zoologist laugh, you may not be a zoologist, but you're definitely speaking their language. It shows understanding.
But the greatest strength of the Daily Show cohorts is not reporting the news, but in pointing how how horribly the mainstream media reports the news.
Why anyone even bothers watching televised news anymore is beyond me. They are not going to tell you what you need to know, and they are mostly in a holding pattern awaiting some tragic event.
He wants people talking about it - that's the whole point of making inflammatory statements.
His constituents don't know what a "net neutrality" is, but they sure know what an "Obamacare" is, so they know if he's against something Obama supports, he's fighting the good fight.
He only has to be smarter than the people that vote for him, and apparently that's not very smart.
If only the offspring benefited from the "estate" I doubt such a law would exist. It's only because "estates" need to be "managed" by lawyers that copyright can last over 150 years.
