"And, ultimately, what actual harm would be done to the USPS or its trademark rights by Nike's actions?"
Well Nike was terrified that the public would be convinced they were in league with the devil, so it makes sense USPS wouldn't want to be associated with child labor.
It would be nice if someone managed to run the numbers to disprove the claims of billions lost vs how much is wasted on legal warfare that really shouldn't happen because that isn't how the law is actually written.
More time/effort/money is spent trying to protect IP than actual people... yet people still accept that keeping a Hollywood Exec with an active imagination of the possible horrors happy matters more than making sure a child gets at least 1 meal today.
Why is it people accept being treated like mushrooms?
Our leaders shit on us, keep us in the dark, & refuse to tend to us while servicing imaginary problems... how many more decades of being shit on might finally be enough for people to say enough of this shit?

Re:
Please to provide evidence supporting this claim.
Then please explain how, IF the USPS managed to sign a contract that was so horrible for them no one ever sued or replaced them.
Then please explain how having to prepay the full retirement costs for each employee from day 1 is a sound business decision & not just a cover story for Congress desperately trying to privatize USPS for donors to rip us off even further.
Oh and while you are crying about Amazon you might want to look at all those other shipping services that use USPS for the last mile delivery of packages... did they get a deal thats below cost too?

One wonders if the reason they keep covering her so often is her inability to accept any criticism as being anything other than a personal attack based only on race not that fact that she is a lawyer who apparently never took a ConLaw course.
Shes jumping up and down drawing more attention to whats happening & well given human nature if these rather timid stories have her freaking out this badly... what is it she is REALLY trying to hide?

Oh look, my shocked face.
Of course they have managed to present a report about all of the whistle blowers they uncovered by violating rights... haven't they?
We saw people quit rather than comply with the Tangerine Toddler's demand for illegal things... perhaps we should take a closer look at those who put job security over the law.
DC is way more corrupt than people imagine (or are willing to admit despite all of the evidence) and I dunno how y'all can fix that.
The dinosaurs are pretending that decorum will rule the day, while ignoring that playing this game killed over 500K citizens. Most of them are unwilling to do anything, it might hurt their campagin donations.
The reality star killed the democracy.
Sadly his faithful will see nothing wrong with this stunt, because admitting your guy was as bad if not worse than those he whined about is a hard pill to swallow.... besides somehow the Constitution will come alive and restore him to office so he can stop the evil child-eating pedophile rings.
500K+ dead and somehow we've not managed to bitchslap elected officials STILL pretending masks do nothing but put you in league with the devil. (One does wonder how those who got the vaccine for the "nothing flu" before anyone else can still command any attention & claim its nothing).
They spent so much time looking for the evil coming from the outside, they ignored the spreading evil on the inside. There should be punishment handed out, these actions undermine the rule of law & the public faith.
Pity we no longer seem to care about our fellow man, as long as we imagine we are winning.

So we should be able to sue Wired for the bullshit spread on their pages?
Comparing "news" outlets to social media companies is really comparing apples & mangos.
Faux News presented things as factual, idiot fans repeated these things online... so lets sue Facebook for not fact checking the billions of posts an hour on their network while pretending it is the same as "news" outlets knowingly spreading lies?
Lets ignore its completely impossible, but the people responsible are those who posted it, and even if the platforms could have smacked down every single repetition of the lie... we'd then have a deep Wired think piece about how they are silencing conservative voices & those poor conservatives should be allowed to sue the deepest pockets.
The government can only step in via lawsuits, where a court has to determine whats true, whats false, whats malice, whats the poster is just a dipshit.
I would LOVE for all of the 230 is bad people to explain what their replacement is, in detail. Most of them are just like kill it and let the lawsuits decide whats right, so what if it kills the idea of allowing users to express anything online as platforms cut their losses.
We can't demand tech manage to solve a societal problem, we have stupid people who are loud & really really dumb. Somehow the election was rigged but wasn't a landslide & the evil Illuminati child eaters also hypnotized the courts to look at their evidence & deny it was true.
Pity, one would think that a reporter could have at least read the law he set out to claim was bad & not pull random quotes from people to make himself look correct. Pity 230 doesn't have Dominions Lawfirm on speed dial.

Re: I have a problem figuring out what took so long.
IIRC when I read about this before, Fujitsu was able to modify data without leaving fingerprints while at the same time the postmasters were claiming it was impossible so thats why all of these people were guilty.
Its the ever popular we bought this, they promised it was perfect, so any fault is outside of this. See also: Expanding the data scooped up on citizens while missing plots planned in the open. Then answer is always more spying, not demanding better results from whats already available.

Gee if only they still had ethics & would punish lawmakers who are obviously this bought off, but then they all might have to go.
I mean when Hollywood tried to block vaccines IP being made available, it should have highlighted they don't care about people.
Citizens got no help, but big handouts to corporations. I guess they feel that no matter what they do they can just claim the otherside will hurt you more... just ignore our current bodycount.
Now we have a bill trying to make streaming the worst possible crime possible because of 30 imaginary billions, to an industry that apparently has never made a cent, I mean look at those blockbuster movies raking in money around the globe... it comes home and they can't even to afford to pay for having made it.
Perhaps if they were paying the government $7,200,000,000 (tax rate 24%) in taxes on those profits maybe they could complain but their tax returns show they make nothing... pretty sure that isn't the fault of pirates. I mean if a major corporation was hemorrhaging 30 billion a year it would have failed long ago, yet they have plenty of money to purchase insane laws even in the middle of a global pandemic where no one should have given a single shit about what they wanted.
