Re: First Revolution to the second...
Yet, now we have a Constitution that was supposed to have corporations regulated by state and federal governments which have now become too powerful and too greedy to be controlled.
Uh, the point of the US Constitution wasn't a guide on how to regulate corporations. It specified the limitations of the Federal government's reach. But as the governments mission continued to creep to control more and more the corporations joined 'em in bed...and now we are here.

My HP printer won't let me print a dollar bill
For the kids, I made some funny money on our PC using US dollar templates and replaced the presidents with our own faces. When we tried to print it out on our HP printer it printed about half way and then had some text along the lines of don't copy US currency. If they can code that into a printer, I am sure anything made for the masses (when 3D printers are everyday household items) they will have copy blocks built in.

A shot at Disney
Of course, Disney released their "Paperman" animated short on YouTube a few weeks ago. I didn't see Wreck It Ralph but I saw the short. And searching for recent news it seems the short went viral. As a bonus...it won an Oscar for it's category. So what is his point, again?

Re: Re: Re: It's what you get when capitalists control a market...
Now you are conflating 'healthcare' with emergency care. Most health care decisions are not life-or-death or emergencies. Yet I know people who run to the emergency room because they get a cold...which in most cases will go away in the same timeline whether or not medical care is administered. For point number 2, that's the beef of the article. Of course, only a few can afford lifesaving treatment...and cost is the question...why does it cost so much?

Apple to Apples Comparison
To be fair, Aaron was threatened with multiple charges, "piling on" as you put it. The accumulation of all his maximum sentences if all served consecutively would be greater than these listed crimes individually. Albeit, for a bunch of these listed crimes there are typically multiple charges and counts which could culminate in greater sentence lengths. I'm not saying it is right, the prosecutor is always going to shore up his arsenal so he can hopefully get a plea bargain for a slam dunk case.
