UK passed what has become known as the "gagging bill", because it puts major restrictions on how much charities and activist groups can spend while campaigning on political issues before an election.
Does this bill also pose the same restrictions to corporations and other "entities"? or is this just another way of limiting the "little guy"?
DirecTV on Monday unveiled a suite of new weather services for its subscribers, including a feature that allows customers to gain access to local weather information at any time...The satcaster said customers tuned to WeatherNation can press the red button on their remote to access instant local weather conditions and outlook.
There's this wonderful invention that already does this for you. It's called a window. You can look outside and almost immediately determine what the weather is.
Nope. Here's what's going to happen. Now that the spying actions of the NSA have been made public, everyone is against it. Once it's been "forgotten" by the public, it will start up again without our knowledge...under yet ANOTHER program name. This cycle has been going on for quite some time...
Hmm, a decline in new books between 1930 and 1980? I wonder what was happening...Oh yeah...3 wars!! World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War. I don't think there was much time to write books on the battlefield.
I don't think copyright has anything to do with it. Just look at all the bad movie remakes out there now. Willy Wonka, Clash of the Titans, Total Recall, and soon Robocop. People are running out of new ideas. Everything that comes out is pretty much the same now.
For me, as far as cameras go, I keep my laptop and tablet off and "closed" so the camera is effectivly blocked. As for my phone, it stays in it's case which blocks the front camera and I set it flat on the desk...blocking the rear camera. For my computer, when I'm not using my microphone, I turn it off with a "hardware" switch. Since it's USB, it also unmounts the drivers. If the FBI figures out a way into my network and finds a way to override a physical button, then my computer would make that "ding" sound when you plug a USB device in and I'd be notified anyway.
Unfortunatly, there is nothing I can do about the microphone on my cellphone, so if I was going to do anything illegal, my phone would be staying at home anyway.
Why would the feds need to put a GPS tracker on your car? All they need to do is contact the company that already has this tech installed in your car (onStar, Sync, LoJack, etc.) and force them to hand over the records...like they do with the phone companies.
Soon they were sending tweets, socializing on Facebook and streaming music through Pandora, they said.
This indicates that whoever approved this deal (and its attendant protection scheme) truly didn't understand the technology... or greatly underestimated their opponent.
I think they forgot to change the admin password from "password".
This is just more proof that the terrorists have won. The main goal of terrorism is to radically change the way a coutry operates. As of 9/11, we now have useless security at airports, unneeded inspections at border crossings, and now our own government is spying on us. Yep...They won!!
So, when's the MPAA going to be held accountable for making the movies that we're all pirating??? By that ruling, the MPAA can be held accountable because they provided the material that is infringing.
When the media outlets are owned by the government, they have to do whatever it takes to shift the focus of the people away from what they're trying to do. That subterfuge 101...
Shows in the 70s like Brady Bunch, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Good Times, The Jeffersons, Newhart, What's Happening? and on and on could be enjoyed by the whole family.
Let's see...
Laverne & Shirley:
2 single women living together. With all the issues with same-sex marriage in this country, this show will NEVER succeed.
The Jeffersons / All in the Family / Sanford & Son:
Would be cancelled shortly after airing for being a racist show.
I personally loved those shows growing up. With how "sensitive" people are today...They won't stand a chance on the air anymore. Sitcoms have gone the way of the "Reality" show. I'm sorry, If I want to watch "Reality" I can just look out my window...Honey bobo, toddlers in tiaras, and all those damn I think I can sing programs are driving me nuts!!!
Time to go download Tor...You remember that program provided by the US Government to prevent foreign governments from spying on thier citizens? Guess we need to start using it now...
This world is already turned into "1984". Next step is to start the "Minority Report" program and start arresting terrorists before they even think of commiting any "acts of terror".

3.) The sysadmins they hired are the "hackers" that are leaving en masse because of all the spying that's going on.
