Extra! Hacker cracks Sony's latest security update before Sony even thought of it. It's rumored that Sony is planning to reverse-engineer the hack to figure out how to do the actual update.
"The only way for it to really succeed long-term online was to disrupt the existing TV business. Because, if it didn't do that, others would (disrupt the existing TV business) and would kill Hulu."
Over the centuries there has been a direct correlation of the number of births and the number of deaths because of accidents, murders and natural causes. It is obvious that we should stop the cause of these deaths, an outright ban on conception is the only way.
I believe the problem with the big labels is that they're not interested in providing a service to musicians. They never have, not that way. It's always been the musicians who have worked for the labels. They're interested in keeping the status quo: we own you and your band, you go out there and make us some money.
Changing that paradigm would require a big reorganization, reduction in scope. No longer are they the traders and the musicians the commodity. Might as well just start over.
Smaller labels are more like agents, maybe. Or managers. They have a job, and the bands hire their services. Those are more likely to shift from printing plastic discs to helping organise concerts and stuff.
What's ironic, is that you're saying kudos to the site, while you actually mean the opposite. Like, irony. Then you get an ironic comment about how useless your irony is. Then you point that it's ironic that the comment that mimics your useless comment, is useless.
I guess you guys must REALLY like Mike, to try so hard to get a rise out of him. I mean, we're always nice and stuff, but you guys take the cake with your fawning and pretend trolling!
It's more like, you have a gun, and your competitor doesn't. Then you both have a gun. Then you can't just win by default, you actually have to learn how to shoot.
