So, by that logic, anything is patentable, as long as you're an idiot?
I mean... normally I wouldn't be able to patent "a system to make several lines of cash registers", but if I don't actually build a supermarket around it, I can sue all supermarkets that copy me?
Re: WOW not even one comment supporting taking privacy away
Translation: you don't like when people invade the privacy of my private stuff, but you want people to invade the privacy of stuff that is public anyway!
Hey little michi t! It would be nice if employers loose money. As it is, the money is too tightly grasped inside their little greedy fists, some loosening would be nice.
This is the opposite of dilution. If more people had made "xerox art" with pictures of actual Xerox brand copiers on them, more consumers would be aware that Xerox is an actual brand of copiers instead of just "photocopy".
So what you are saying is that someone posting a Russia for Russians video is equivalent to YouTube actively promoting Russian skinheads and therefore must be blocked entirely?
Re: Reading source code is not reverse engineering
COPYING the manuals is infringing. READING the manuals to emulate the way the software works isn't infringing.
Apparently these guys did both. The judge declared that the COPYING part is right. But the other company is also claiming that simply by using the manual to emulate their software is also infringing, which it is not.
I just recorded a CD with 45 minutes of armpit farts, and it's not selling. Clearly this means that the business of selling music CDs can't possibly work.

Some people want to pay for it. It is available for free.
So hard to understand?
The Market has decided. It hasn't decided that it will forbid anyone to pay. It has decided that it is free for anyone who wants it for free.
