Yes, really. "wouldnt cost the US taxpayers 60 billion dollars". How in any way is that "Not, really"? I guess for you not paying for something with tax dollars is the same as paying for it with tax dollars.
And notice from the graphic that the bureaucracy is getting paid much more than minimum wage. As with anything paid for with taxes, there is little incentive to lower costs. Over time it just becomes a huge hierarchy of bureaucrats leeching off of us.
We should take just one election cycle (4 yrs) and say that in that cycle congress can pass no new laws and must instead spend the entire time revisiting and removing old broken laws. This idea probably needs some incentive to get them to actually remove laws (eg. $million to the congress critter that removes the most). But I am not sure what a good incentive is that would get the most accomplished.
Are there really (any) websites out there that are just dumping child porn out there for all to see? Considering the effort being put into blocking CP websites it must be a major problem. I guess if you block one website, the evil child pronographers must jump to another like playing wack-a-mole. These guys must be totally motivated to make CP visible for everyone to see. I guess a significant portion of the population must be interested in looking at it considering the huge problem it is on the web. Who knew? And cops are just too few to deal with it by going out and arresting the perpetrators. We need to give them tools so they can sit behind a desk all day pushing buttons to block any hint of the dreaded CP threatening to ooze out onto everyone's screens. If they were to go out and arrest the ones setting up these websites then what buttons would they need to push tomorrow?
But it is ok for you to play around with taking down content with false accusations while you tweak your system, just because you aren't charging anyone for it?
Funny thing is that after being informed of some singer/actor death I have never had the thought of going out to purchase their music/movie. If I liked the artist I already heard/saw their stuff while they were alive.
He is so corrupt that he doesn't even realize he is corrupt. To Dodd it is just the normal way of doing business. When he was in congress he voted the way he was paid (dammit). Hence he considered himself an honest politician.

Unless we fix this fundamental problem with the way the govt works, sopa and pipa type legislation will keep coming at us until we drown in it.
Ron Paul is the people's candidate. If they don't put him on the ballot, write his name in! Or you can continue to be a slave to your corporate masters and see everything continue to go to shit. Paul is our only chance to even begin to get out of the economic and power corruption mess we are in. He is getting old. This may be our last chance. Don't miss it.
Of course it wouldn't affect you. You still subscribe to cable or something. Real netflix watchers don't play that anymore. Not sure why you'd even bother with netflix if you are a cable scriber. Don't you get enough already?
