If MLB wants to keep exclusive content on their sites, I get it
But why they feel that removing anything and everything is even SLIGHTLY a good idea really shows how utterly clueless they are with the media and social networks
This does nothing but shut down access to the game by MANY people
I fly last week and noted to my girlfriend how the guy literally was touching my balls twice and it was the most uncomfortable situation I had been in for some time
Sigh....another "free speech" person who incorrectly believes that this means that people can say whatever they want, whenever they want.....and it DOES NOT SAY THAT
Read the damn Constitution before claiming that Freedom of Speech means people should be given complete freedom to read everything or say anything
I am at a loss for words with those people who want these major companies to control everything and anything
These companies have time and time again shown that they want to screw the customers over anything and would prefer small caps, heavy penalties, and major price increases
I don't have much of a problem with this thought as some stuff put online is disgusting, not true, and can in fact hurt people for jobs and their lives in general
I am not someone who wants everything and anything to just be allowed
I have something about me put online that DOES come up with a google search and DID hurt me looking for a job as someone asked me about it. I have done my best getting it deleted but no luck so far. BTW, it is not even remotely true
Pathetic reading these stories of people wanting to know who says critical things of them
Note, I understand wanting to know people who say TERRIBLE things (like accusations about their family or sexuality, etc...)....but instead of fixing the issues presented by bloggers, they prefer unmasking them and changing the tune of the argument
Seems about right. Dish and other companies would love for consumers to pay laughably high amounts of money to see movies/shows months after they first came out.
They will do everything they can to make sure that nobody else can get in their way of over-charging consumers
If it were up to them, Netflix wouldn't exist period
Shows how idiotic these companies are and how they could NOT care less about consumers but simply to screw them so the company can make more money on top of their already making millions CEO
It makes absolutely no sense to sue people in the comments section
A) I think the most extreme comments are seen by others as being crazy to start with
B) Most probably gloss over the crazy comments and I doubt anyone takes it seriously
C) You bring about 100x more notice to it by filing a suit
Everything you dont want gets brought to the public
I am all for schools and other places of education starting to implement rules for students and attacking this bullying crap
I have seen first hand with kids of mine how other kids attack other students with myspace, facebook, and other social sites through THREATS or mockings.
I know it will be tough to identify who did it but if they do find out, I hope those kids are punished
There are some news sites that I visit where the HIGH, HIGH, HIGH majority of comments are nothing but immature, arrogant, mean, vulgar messages. When I say high majority, I would say roughly 8 out of every 10 comments are terrible. It really needs to be fixed as many people are slowly getting away from the news sites BECAUSE of how terrible the messages are.
If a better % of the messages were just opinion, I would agree that they should be kept
Bottom line, if a web-site wants to stop anony messages, I understand why
To this day, I can't help and laugh at these pure free-market fans that want zero government rules/regulations with these gigantic, over-powerful companies that simply do their best to get as much money as possible out of their consumers
As shown by a recent verizon case, they get it through fraudulent ways some times.
Shocking. A company gets called for an illegal practice and denies it even through a MOUNTAIN of evidence but then admits it while paying a minimal penalty.
What garbage....why would ANYONE think this laughable penalty is a detterant for any fyuture stealing of the customers money like this
If people are making threats for violence, they deserve to lose their identity online
If not, they should keep it
The amount of times that governments get mad at people for pointing out the truth and thus try to shame that person....and use it thru despicable excuses....is terrible
