It's pictures. Most likely the person who wants them the least is the one pushing to split them up knowing that the other really wants them. Here's the trick, go through them one by one and say I want you can have... The judge made the correct judgment. The one who did all the work will be the one who decides who gets what. Bet the pictures of her are all given to her lol.
Wait, I don't understand. You are saying that if I copy CDs and go to a flea market to sell the copies I can get in trouble not the Flea market? That doesn't make since, I mean I did all the wrong and the flea market had nothing to do with it. They should be the ones that suffer for my wrong doings, not me... This is just wrong....
It's only illegal because they have the money to push politicians to make the law. Take away the money they give to politicians and actually debate the issue and the laws would change.
I have said it before in here. The people that form bands don't form them to get rich, they form them, to play music and as with any form of work "Hope to make it big"
Now, music can be recorded at home in a basement with a computer, software, and the equipment used to play a gig. No longer do people have to go to a studio to get their music to a CD.
What does that mean? CDs can be given away in hopes that more people will hear the music and come see the show. Music can be put on memory sticks that can be reused and therefore a second reason to "Buy" the music. Music can be put on websites so they can find more fans. All of this can be done, by the band, for a little amount of money, making the record labels less important.
As for the record labels, this is especially good because now it is extremely cheap to do what they do. A CD produced by a record label in the past cost them a penny per CD and they sold them for $10-$20. now it cost a penny per 100 but they still want to charge $10-$20 each. The thing is, people will still buy the CDs, they still do. Now the people who didn't buy them before are now hearing the music and adding it to their collection and telling more people. The bands are getting MORE fans because of it. Fans buy CDs, shirts, hats, and memorabilia as well as go to concerts or performances.
Think about this. A band is going to play at a bar where people can smoke. I have heard people say "I want to go see them but I hate breathing and smelling like smoke." Now add this to the advertisement, "Band So and So, performing Thursday night at Blah Blah Bar, First 100 get a free CD of So and So's music." People are more willing to brave the smoke, the Bar has more patrons that night, food and drink sales go up. The band plays the music (The whole reason they formed a band) The bar asks them to return and play again. People play the CDs and other people say "I like that who is it?" Fans say "It's So and So, they are playing to night at the Blah Blah Bar, I got this CD free at their last performance. They don't even have to offer a CD the next performance. People are going to go hoping they might. Add in a few random CD give-aways during performance (less then 10)and the band is off and running
Where was the record label in all that? There is still a place for the record label in this scenario, just in a larger capacity, Concerts instead of bars, Bars in other towns and cities, Doing all of this stuff for the band so the band can concentrate on just the music (The reason they form a band in the first place.)
That reminds me of a Sub-Contractor my dad used to use with a name like "Quality Construct" or something to the like. The guy did poor work on one of the jobs and my dad told him "Dude, Take the out of your name and put it in your work"
Some people will pay for that and if they follow through it might be worth it to pay. What would be nice is if they debunked rumors and half truths too, that would be worth it I think.
I'm sorry, but if I type hot5mail and I don't see what I expect I retype it. If I dial the wrong number and don't hear what I expect I hang up. Sometimes I have been known to talk to the person on the wrong number for a while before I realize it wasn't who I though it was. Does that mean the person I was calling could sue them for having a number that is close to their number? I use BigMike as a user name a lot, sometimes Big-Mike or Big_Mike. I'm a big guy and my name is Mike can I sue little guys who post with my name? The only thing I think should be labeled differently is Porn sites. They should only be aloud .xxx and if they own a .com it should link to their .xxx only with no more then an "R" rated picture. I only bring that up so because I shouldn't be able to visit an unwanted porn site by fat fingering microsoft or yahoo. IMO
Good point, Mp3's are not great quality, they are convenient quality. Where is the sound file that is made for quality and does not care what the size is. Make a site that sells music in that form and charge more. Supply the sit with both the new file and MP3 files and let the customer chose what they want. The money is out there waiting to buy what people want, you just have to realize that it is up to you to produce what they want in order for you to get their money.
They could put a larger battery in it and call it the iMaxipad or lowered the security and added the larger battery and called it the "Stay Free" iMaxipad... My co-worker has a clip on his cubicle that compares the iPad to a seven year old HP tablet and the seven year old tablet had better specs. What's the hype?
Wow, very good point at the end... I don't know how many movies I didn't find the time to go to the theater for, so I watched it at home on my 40" flat screen with surround sound sitting in my recliner drinking a beverage I couldn't drink at the theater and thought, wow I wish I could go see this in the theater. The right movies will ALWAYS be better in the theater. Now if I can just get the drink I want... Oh wait there is a new theater near here that allows that from their bar.
That commercial was funny the first time I saw it. I know I rewound and re-watched it the first time it came on. "Milk-a-what?" I never associated it to Lohan until the lawsuit came out. Funny, how that works.
Isn't that what is happening in all media, really? When was the last real big story to come out that wasn't a disaster coverage or politically motivated? Tell me it wasn't Watergate, was it? and I don't mean this person is sleeping with someone they shouldn't.
All I get in the mail is my magazines, bills, Adds, and the occasional holiday card. I open the mailbox every day, grab the mail, and throw it in a pile until the weekend and go through it then. Getting it all on Friday would be a nice change. Honestly, My bills are all going paperless, my bank statements are paperless. I would love to stop getting all the junk mail and if it was once a week every place I get something from more then once a week would only have to send it once.

Funny thing is, yes they do but the record industry would want people to actually think that never happens so you will feel sympathy for them.
