Magic numbers are numbers that are put in to some kind of rule book. This number is OK but one more and you are in trouble. A deck built at 37 inches off the ground doesn't need a hand rail 38 inches does. What about 37 and 3/4 inches?
They said 11 miles and they charged at 10. It's politics, that's all. We made a cool million and we did it with no one being pulled over. Maybe we need to do something that makes us look good, can we give some of it back?/div>
Let them Hype it up. There is more then just planets that sustain life out there to explore and this is just one more reason for us to explore space. We send people into space now by strapping them to a controlled explosion. The more reasons we need to be in space, the more ways we find to make it safer.
Traveling in space has brought us a lot of advancements in science. Hype it up, get people interested again and not just because another ship explodes./div>
I didn't read any other comments but here is the problem with making the loser pay legal fees. I don't have a lot of money so I use a very inexpensive lawyer to fight my battles. On the other hand Netfix can afford to pay top end lawyers. Lets say I have a legitimate case, I could be intimidated by the price of their lawyers. "Yes you have a good case but if you lose you will have to pay 10 times what you paid me to there lawyers and you still have to pay me." Big business tramples on the little guy. Now, If the lawyers have to pay and not the client, the Hell ya! Then we lose the ambulance chasers and lawyers only take cases they think they can win... that would be awesome!/div>
If we know where the child porn is why is it still there? Is there anywhere in the world child porn is legal? Why are people who are looking at it arrested but people who are uploading it not?/div>
I remember hearing My friend from childhood, my best friend, had the swine flu. (Not called swine flu now because the pork industry fought it) I remember how we thought Oh My God, are you going to be OK? and his response was "Dude, I feel like I have the flu!" Did anyone really die from this that wouldn't have died if it was the regular flu? We kept hearing tallies of the dead from swine flu... how many died from the regular flu and why didn't we hear about that?/div>
Saying you have insider information isn't actually trading insider information. The couple could get out of it with a good lawyer but my guess is they won't have a good lawyer and will screw up their trial too./div>
If these things are so blatantly obvious, then why isn't someone calling them out?
I read these stories and they are written so well that I agree with them and understand your point. So why am I so smart and the people in charge so incompetent. Does it really come down to they have more money so they are right?/div>
A lot of you are connecting the two wrongs and saying they should be connected. I crash into you on the road. I am liable for the damages to your car and your health as a result. Would I be liable for the fact that it was discovered through this accident that you were drunk, got a DUI, and that ruined your life?
Sure, if the company did wrong, they should be fined, but 600,000 dollars? remove the adultery problems after, then look at it as a clerical error, what would be the consequences then?/div>
My ex blames the amount of time I spent on-line for our break up but I think it was the guy she was seeing on the side... I don't know if I should sue the guy she had on the side or my ISP...
They should make this a game show. All disputes go before a panel like American Idol and the true cases get to move on but the stupid ones get ridiculed. Imagine some one like Simon... "Let me get this strait, You had an affair, Your husband found out about it through a phone bill and now your life is ruined and that is the phone companies fault? Are you a complete idiot or is some of you missing?"
I would watch it... Hell I would sue people to be on TV, oops did I say that out loud?/div>
The first two cases I agree with but on the third I have a different opinion. Look at World of Warcraft as an amusement park. The processing that is done, is done on servers they own and not on the computer owned by the player. The software on the computer is merely the "Ticket" to get into the Park. You can't just walk into an amusement park and setup shop to make money and if you try and get caught you are going to get kicked out. They have rules that you have to follow.
That being said, how would someone be treated in the real world if what they offered was "Training" on how to successfully set up shop in an amusement park to make money? I ask that because I don't know. Could the owners of the amusement park sue the Trainer? If so, on what grounds? Answer me this and I can decide how I feel about it./div>
There will be a merge of cloud computing and personal computers but I really don't think people will want to loose the personal computer. Less things will be done on the computer and more in the cloud (look at Google docs) but with a network that can be taken out for hours by a single car accident, the days of pure cloud computing is in the hands of the small rural cable companies that can't afford to upgrade. It's the weakest link effect./div>
Over and over people are comparing a second tangible book to an electronic version. I buy a book and have the capabilities to copy it myself through a scanner. Instead of doing the work myself someone has done it for me for free. Who gets hurt?
The laws on this are old and need to be rewritten. The problem with that is the system for that process is broken. Seems if you have the money to pay the lobbyist you can have laws that prop up your business model./div>
Well I have not lost any interest in buying a palm. HP support is riddled with buy this and buy that with less interest in fixing your problem. Not to mention the fact that the problems I have had with their product were always bad hardware. I really wanted the Palm Pre back when it was new but my carrier didn't offer it. I'm glad they didn't and I'm glad I went to Blackberry instead.
How do I get in this Patent craze? I want a patent for washing your hands before you go to the restroom and then in turn not peeing on your hands. This way any guy who doesn't wash his hands after using the restroom MUST be infringing on my patent. I'll take them to court, I really will./div>

Re: T-Shirt
Less technical then I should be.
Really?
Can I get a copy?
He did it again
So did they actually do something wrong?
Why
