for those who already get their content via streaming or torrents. Now that GTV is going to hit the market with all the content the web can offer, I prob will cut back on the torrents and just stream whatever whenever. The networks and studios should be very afraid of this, it's legit and they cannot stop it now.
When are the networks going to get it, every channel is streamed somewhere, anyone with a computer connected or GTV box will be able to view. Some without any ads.
Fuck hulu and the like they will all go down in flames with the networks. Networks, or should I say Ad generators, are not required any longer.
I DL all the TV shows instead of reg TV, no commercials and unlimited reruns. Gotta love Uverse in my area, no stupid MPAA warning letters like Time Warner has been sending out. I get entire seasons in a matter of hours, depending on size but an average 500MB episode in HD takes about 15 min.
The networks should be very aware that they are no longer required for broadcast, The Logitec Revue with GTV worked on Hulu when I beta tested, but who really cares, just go to another site and watch. Remember just about any popular show is streaming somewhere with or without the networks permission.
Chrome is not blocked if used on a PC. Is an OS identifier, have not tried on my android phone, just curious, has anyone received their Logitec Revue yet. It's probably just an issue with sony's crap. The Logitec worked on Hulu when I tested for a dish customer who was beta testing for their upcoming release but this was in Feb. He made it a point to try hulu.
I have to say the BlueRay torrents are all the rage. Every TV show usually has the BR option for torrents and increasingly movies are offered up as BR DL, Avatar looks great but the DL was approx 3.2 GB, but the end result was very good, especially without all that warning garbage.
My new fav gift to give out now is a cheap HD loaded with high quality torrents that you can watch by just plugging into the usb port of any modern TV worth buying, sony is not on that list cuz they think if they just leave off the port you can't watch DL's what a bunch of morons. Samsung, Toshiba, Vizio (3 usbs), Philips all play these files quite well and I am sure there are more.

What else can they say to the likes of GTV. Google was so smart in their naming convention, the cable companies did not see it coming.
"Companion Box", yeah right!
Between torrents and GTV I believe all content is now freeeeeeeeeeeee :)
