Why is this news? I remember playing with headphones when I was a kid, 20 years ago, and turning them into a microphone. They're sucky mics, but they work.
I considered adding #5 to the list, but I thought it was convered under #1. #6 you can't do much about, but if/when it happens, it's a rare event, and you can always remove the KB later.
Yeah, if they rerelease it for whatever reason (update due to another hotfix), then it'll show up again. At least they usually show up as italic, so they're easy to spot.
I don't have this issue. You can prevent that window from appearing without any flaky third party tools.
1) Turn off recommended updates. They are easy enough to research and apply on your own, if you choose, while not leaving you vulnerable to security issues. 2) Uninstall and hide all of the following updates: KB2952664 KB3035583 KB3075249 KB3080149 KB3123862 KB3147071 3) As you update in the future, make sure you don't install the above, they will be italicized if they appear again. 4) Done!
That's why I made a simple web interface she can get to on her phone. With it connected to my own server, I just have to worry about securing the small web interface.
Which is why I just developed my own with Arduino/RPi. I know it'll always work without some third party backend. It also won't know known security vulnerabilities that can be published and affect others.
I'm with you. Personally, I'm ok with locals, SyFy, Science/Discovery (assuming they air science and educational shows), and Cartoon Network. I'd be ok with a few more I watch even more rarely (like TNT, USA), as long as I can remove ones I don't ever want. My wife watches more channels than I do, but still not much more than a dozen we could get away with combined. I have like 100+ channels I don't use. Like you I also removed all sports channels from my guide.
and Comcast could easily nudge those users toward business-class lines without imposing an entirely new pricing structure.
Have you tried getting business class internet? I can't vouch for Comcast, but I tried to get a business class DSL from AT&T once, they refused. Since my residence wasn't a commercial address, they wouldn't let me pay more for better business class service. No negotiating, just no.
I had to reread the headline at least 3 times before I realized this wasn't about the recent litigation with the BBC and the POLICE PUBLIC CALL BOX from Doctor Who.
I've done a little cycling, but never indoors. However I've never heard the term 'spin bike'. I have heard of stationary bike though. I don't think of 'spin bike' as generic, as spin doesn't make any sense in this case. All bikes have spinning wheels, so it's not unique. What's unique is it's stationary, hence stationary bike. I just think 'spin bike' is a stupid name, but that's just me.
Lenovo has succeeded in killing the great Thinkpad line. I was afraid it was going to happen. I have a T500 (T61p before that), back when Lenovo just bought them from IBM. The thing is a workhorse, and still works great to this day (the T61p sadly succumbed to the bad nVidia chip of that era, T500 replaced it). The keyboard change was the first nail. This is the final. So ended an era. It will most likely be my last Thinkpad. Sadly there isn't much else of quality anymore either.
