Hmmm, I wonder how that's going to work in conjunction with Godwin's Law.
Or do the Nazi's count as "memory of many who are dead" thereby allowing a loophole. Filipinos just won't be able to make analogies between Hitler and an unfavorable act. =P
Next up, we need to work to protect Web 3.0 from regulation by government and other international organizations that have no idea about what they are talking about.
You know, for terrorism... or the kids... or something...
I sought out the original after seeing a parody of it by The Key of Awesome. It was parodying the song and North Korea. When looking up the original, I did come across a bunch of other parodies that ranged from great to awful to terribly awful. These included a Western (Cowboy), lolcats, Klingon, My Little Pony, Star Wars, and the list goes on.
I haven't seen a song spawn this amount of parodies in a long time.
"The judge told me to delete my Facebook... WTF?"
"Judicial system meddling in my free speech... GTFO!"
"Judge tells my Facebook to STFU!"
"Contempt of court... FTW!"
Side story. If you want to see a great reaction, go to a crowded bar to watch a semi-finals NHL game with some friends. When a team scores, jump up and scream "Touchdown!"
I liked the Daily Show clip, shown earlier this week, joking about the NFL referee thing. The correspondents went on strike, so Patrick Steward filled in as a replacement corespondent for Jon Oliver. =P
It would have been funny seeing the pulp and paper industry being denied to protect the papyrus or rock chipping industry. I would love to have seen lawyers chipping out cease and desist letters on a sheet of rock to send to each of the 1,000 alleged pirates =P
This brings into question future copyright law. If you claim that copyright extends for 70 years (Can't remember the actual number) how will it work when people listen to it in a system 71 light years away. Will it be public domain, or would someone try to claim that the copyright should extend 70 years from when the signal first made it to that system? =P
This also then begs the question if the copyright maximalist would try to claim that the term "year" is defined as an Earth year or a year of the new planet, whichever is longer. I also wouldn't be surprised if they tried to redefine year as a galactic or cosmic year. (225-250 million Earth years)
We're sorry Ford, your Model-T will be disastrous for the horse and cart industry.
We're sorry Edison, your light bulb will be disastrous for the candle industry.
We're sorry Gutenberg, your printing press will be disastrous to the scribing industry.
We're sorry modern science, your thinking will be disastrous to the alchemy industry. =P
(I know the Ford didn't make the first automobile nor Edison the first lightbulb. They are just who most people think of when mentioning that invention) =P
