Re: Are the Search Alogithms Biased Against Conservatives?
"For an example, the apparent suppression of conservative comments may not be due to a biased algorithm but could, in reality, be a side-effect of how conservatives use social media when compared to liberals."
There was a comment about that on Ars. Conservatives tend to be old people yelling at the cloud. The guy in question gave his grandparent as an example. The old man hadn't even heard about internet based conservative outlets. It seems the apparent bias towards liberal content is actually a result of liberal people being more fluent in tech and being more active on the internet.
Actually TD comment section is pretty good considering some examples out there considering they allow *anonymous* comments without the need for an account. Every place has their pet trolls and here is no different. How is it failing?
Awesome. The bill not only restores the 2015 rules but as noted it goes beyond. I already prepared my quantum violin to play for the telcos because oh boy the whining will be loud. Nuclear blast loud. But bipartisan support for the rules and universal hatred towards them tell me that the precise amount of tears shed will make the Sahara look like some sort of wetlands.
Ppl need to stop being stupid moralists. Dicks, pussies and other bodily functions should have stopped being taboo for a long time now. Facebook and other platforms overmoderating are just a symptom of our stupid moralism.
State rights for me but not for thee! First Amendment for me but not for thee! [Insert whatever right] for me but not for thee! - "Any bigoted moron (usually Republican) out there!"
I say usually because bigotry comes in many flavors!
You can. Just using simple script blockers and denying anything from these companies is enough. Sure it's not a walk in the park but it can be done even if you aren't too tech literate.
Monster is a freaking generic term dude. That's actually why you have blu-ray and not blue-ray. So no, they musn't own it. and if they do it should be challenged.
Even though it is not a crime or any reason to stop the guy you have to admit it's safer not to show the finger to someone armed and from a group (cops) known to have a fair share of thin-skinned, trigger-happy individuals. Just sayin'.
