I would agree with this, but in format shifting, you usually retain the origial vehicle for the content(in a useable condition). Either way, I would tend to agree that this is legal overall. As long as they can "prove" that the original is destroyed, they should be in the clear.
Does not mean the Author's Guild(which authors actually belong to/support this group?) won't go on another witch hunt here.
So, go for the next option...send them in a Rocket on a trajectory for an empty spot, key a preset detonate sequence, watch the fireworks...on the internet.
Are you completely and willfully ignorant and stupid? I would categorize you with Westboro Baptist and the similar "churches" in Florida who spew ignorant and hate filled drivel. You obviously have no life, you troll this site and who knows how many others looking for an opportunity to spout ad hom attacks and attempt to derail actual intelligent commentary. I would rather see comments from Pay Wall Bob than the inane(insane?) garbage you spew. I remember seeing comments bitching about censorship due to your(or similar comments) being flagged. 1, they are hidden but not removed and 2, we hide them because they bring nothing substantive to the conversation(s) at hand.
You need(in a bad way) serious psychiatric and social assistance. Hell, I would rather debate Lamar Smith or Chris Dodd. At lease they could be counted on to bring basic social etiquette to the table. My eleven yr old and hell, even my 6 yr old, can produce better reasoned arguments and refrain from name calling. Please seek professional help. I am seriously worried about the level of harm you can do to yourself and anyone near you.
"Offhand, I'd say that in my observations Fords from the 90s needed more TLC than popular imports (E.G. Hondas, but probably also other well regarded brands) and were better built than the other US brands."
While during this time frame you are likely accurate, Ford's turn around started in the early 2000s time frame. They were able to use partnerships with other companies to redesign their brand image and reliability. With the redesigned Focus, the Fusion, and few others, Ford has been able to pull themselves up to a decent level of profitability. This was based on Long Term investments started around a decade ago.
Hell, with Monster(priced) Cable, you just have to try to use the word "Monster" commercially and they send their hand picked batch of money sucking legal hounds after you. They even smell the thought of this and they are on you like flies on a dead carcass.

ACtually a gentleman by the name of Daniel Schindler. He is using a number of Shell Company names but is the contact for all of them. His total is 304 applications.
While I agree with most of your post, there are occasions where for whatever reason, a Web application is coded to only work properly with a specific Browser version. This can be based on a number of factors, so I will not attempt to debate them all. As for the reference to Vista, Windows 7 also has the UAC enabled by default in most systems. Believe me, as a former internal IT staff member where I work, the number of complaints about the manner of notification with UAC in Win7 by default was huge.
Best bet for increasing overall security on Systems, regardless of OS version used, is Education and multiple layers of security. Anti-virus programs(updated regularly), Firewalls(both Software and Hardware based), regular updating of OS and applications, and a good dose of basic education will lead to a more secure computing environment for most people who don't have access to Enterprise levels of cash to spend on expensive options.
"Now the Patent system already works in this way, but the LENGTH of the patents are far too long for many products."
This commenter clarifies his statement a little further down. Placement was not optimal, but I agree with most of the comment. Patents/Copyrights are fine as long as the time limit is reasonable.
Patents should be based on the following:
1) You must have a working model of the item, object, etc...
2) You must have a verifiable business plan to produce, implement, etc...
3)Life span of the patent should only last long enough to ensure an chance at monetizing the object.
There is no guarantee in this world of making millions of dollars. There is only the guarantee of a chance at it. Everything else is how hard is the person/company willing to work at generating a profit from the patented object.
Based on the article above, there was not drop in using the tools provided by DMCA. There was either minimal or total lack of using them. Of the Studios mentioned above, only NBC used the tools regularly. Their use spiked upward after SOPA failed. The others simply did not use the tools. This could mean a few different things.
1st(my favorite), they likely had their heads inserted so far up their backsides that they completely ignored the tools already present.
2nd, they knew of the tools but were too lazy/cheap to make efficient use of them.
3rd, they were too busy suing anyone or anything.
This could go on and on. Regardless of why, the Studios and their Puppet Masters, the MPAA and RIAA, willfully ignored/refused to use tools already available. Stupid is as stupid does!
That is the wonder and beauty of living in a country/world that is being driven, run, controlled by corporate interest. We, as the good and dutiful sheep, are supposed to believe and extoll any information our corporate masters feed us. It does not matter that the stats or information is easily proven false. Our government and the corporations who lobby hardest(put that government in power) do not want educated and fully informed voters/customers. They want pliable, easily directed sheep/consumers.
We are no longer expected to question the rules and authority. We are expected to follow along blindly.

The commission of this monument was to memorialize the sacrifices made by our Service Members during the Koren War. As for the Fed...this is the typical myopic manner in which they handle many things. They see a short term goal, but never think of the long term ramifications. Way to go Frank "Douche Bag" Gaylord and way to fail US Gov.
While I have limited experience in working with Linux builds and other open software options, your statement, "Libre office kicks MS Office out of the park. The simple fact that you do not have to hunt down which program where, it prints to pdf." , is no longer valid. MS Office 2010 natively prints to PDF from most modules(if not all). I like the Libre Office product, but I work in an MS shop and use what is provided.
To be honest, I have had little issue with Windows in either Desktop or OS version and this includes the dreaded Vista. Win7 has been reliable, fast and stable on all builds that I have worked with.
