Depends on the Card Issuer. Having worked in retail, I have seen customer's not happy with products/services who have successfully charged back the costs. AMEX is usually very consumer friendly in this respect. Not sure about VISA or Mastercard.
I am sure it is a matter of view perspective, but he appears to abuse all three products equally. The second Knock Off break with less effort than the first and the first cracked on the initial bounce.
I carry a Droid X2 for personal and a Fascinate for work. Both are rooted and running custom ROMs. Got tired of the slowness caused by carrier/vendor bloatware. Both are considerably quicker and I have the freedom to install only the apps that I feel are relevant to me.
Re: Re: Re: @Carpathia: so pull the fucking drives out...
Fuque, you obviously have no concept of enterprise class storage needs. A quick internet search yields drive costs(SAS drives) from around $300 to $900 for sizes ranging 500GB to 3TB. I am not going to go into the extended math as these are likely housed in large(7u or bigger) storage chassis that can range from $15000 to $100,000 in cost. Not to mention factoring the associates RAID deployment and redundancy setups. Factoring in that we are discussing 25 Petabytes, you are looking at costs topping 10s of millions of dollars. Sure they could be using lesser tech, but that would only reduce the cost by a few million.
Unless you have the knowledge and facts to back up your statements, kindly keep them to yourself.
Other than the guy in the video being obnoxious, i can agree with his issues. Fortunately the theater chain my family frequents for movies offers individually wrapped 3d glasses should we choose the watch the movie in 3d.
I agree with your statement. I am a Christian, but I will not be told what I can/can't read, watch, listen to, etc... In my recent experiences with attending services, both my current Pastor and previous one(different church) stated that one should always read the entire passage from the Bible that is being quoted/used in a message or service. If you are given 2 verses, be sure to go back at least 5 or to beginning of the chapter and go forward at least 5 or to the end of the chapter. This is the only way to gain context in the verse.
As for Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Mystery, etc...there are some fantastic authors out there. While have not read Ender's Game, I will likely do so now and get my 10 yr old son to read it. As for "pornographic" material, if you have read anything by Erik Van Lustbader(spelling?) or any of The Game of Thrones series, one would understand what potentially pornographic material is.
*Lather, rinse, repeat...*
EA pays licensing and other fees to the NFL. NFL CBA has a revenue sharing agreement with the players. Licensing fees fall into the revenue column. Ergo, players are being paid for the use of their likeness.

You sir, need serious anger management work. Please read both this article and the many others on this site.
"The big tech companies that are no longer innovating and are far removed from their former position as major players in the market, make one last grasp at relevance by breaking out their patent portfolio and beginning to sue."
This statement alone calls out numerous companies that have taken this same path.
Chronno, I have worked in the Wireless Industry before(Sprint, ATT, and retailers). SAT GPS(when you get lock) is much more accurate that Cell Tower location. Cell Tower location is based on Triangulation between the closest towers that your device is associated with. This can be verified by disabling your GPS for apps like Google maps.
As for Apple or any other company limiting you to "their" service? I cannot speak to that. It would be self defeating as many apps for both iOS and Android require GPS for basic functionality.
This is one in many issues now for GoDaddy. I have seen many comments related to moving business away from them. At what point do they realize that pissing off their customers?
As a related, I remember seeing posts previously about alternate domain registrars...would love to know of some respectable ones.
Way to make an intelligent and thoughtful response. I find it absolutely telling that the ACs who support the more draconian methods of enforcing government sanctioned monopoly rents on the legacy content industries are some of the first to respond with "citation needed".
Yet, when this query/response is used in rebuttal to a statement you make, you resort to childish and irrational responses. You response with the link to provide the "citation" requested was sufficient. Any thing after that did not directly support the initial response/rebuttal was inane and proved your childish mentality.
I think it is great that Techdirt allows for anonymous commenting, but find my patience taxed by the likes of you and your lackeys.
Hell, you could purchase a batch of off lease desktop/laptops from a resale vendor for about 200-300 a pop, use free open source server OS(Ubuntu Server comes to mind) and build a web farm for about $2000 or so and get a lot more bang for your buck. There are also sites that sell 2-4 yr old servers that would do the trick for about the same cost.
It is not obvious one way or the other. Regardless of this, a well known and mostly well respected(there are always dissenters) musician has come out and stated he does not support either SOPA or PIPA.
And as usual, I will add this to your inane comments:
"I wonder how much in donations Jimmy Wales was promised if he took the site dark; I know they've really been hurting for money recently."
