what is the differance none
they will still disconect. I cant wait for the shouts when ISPs start to get sued by business accounts because someone managed to download something.
Though of course it is not the ISPs fault they are as much a victim in this as any 3year old 80 yearold granddad or laser printer.
Any law can only be enforced if it has the consent of the people.
Currant copyright law does not appear to have that consent, yes they will fight andd kick to maintain the law but I doudt if even 3 strikes will stop fileshaering.
the paper is taking that concept and putting it another way giving the authers reasons why that is the case. moral/ethics argument which amounts to the same equation.
We are suposed to have freedom of speech as a right in the UK but some control freeks (look at 10 Downing street for a full list) dont think we should.
a case of if you can do it we can.
i am thinking of cases where US law has aledgedly been brocken in the UK or by a UK citizen, the US courts claim jurisdiction and even attempt to get our citizens in to the USA for charges. Nice to see it work the other way a few more like this and watch the courts do a Uturn. maybe.
As facebook make much less money than google it would be my guess that they will be left alone.
proving as you say it is jealousy not to protect there copyright.
perhaps google ad facebook should get together and charge the papers for sending traffic their way.
you are WRONG again TAM Bruce springsteen co publishies huis own music as written on all his tracks i looked at in 5 minutes. say publisher Bruce Springsteen /John Landau Management
perhaps i can get ASCAP out of the letters but no i dont see them there.
lets look at how IP addresses are alocated in the UK Most people are on a DYNAMIC IP this means that your IP changes (I guess everywhere is similer). But depending on ISP how often for example Virgin may change monthly. Pipex/ Bulldog change every few minutes. I really dont see how a track on who has what address can be kept on the later.
one day TAM may get a transplant I suggest replacing his brain with a sinclar ZX81 it will be better.
If you give away music free you sell your fans something worth having like a working gutar amp or full colour clossy book of your life or dinner with their fav band. get it just one name trent reznor.
pass the scalpel nurse.
the Times and The Sun are news international papers which perhaps says a lot.
The Sun is better known as being a comic rather than a serious paper the Times on the other hand is susposed to be a serious hard newspaper perhaps they swopped journalists. Its reputation has certainly deminised this side of the pond in recent years.
