This is the whole problem, the selfish greed that insists that no one else should be able to benefit from the work of someone else. It doesn't matter if you aren't doing anything with it and someone decides to build on your dormant work and it brings you some new-found recognition, the fact that someone else is benefiting just galls them.

I think the main point here is that he is trying something different. It might be a roaring success and it might be a bust. But instead of crying about piracy ruining his life he is trying different things to reach out to fans and to get others to become fans.

I'm not awake enough to check, but I'm hoping the reason they are waiting until January is that they have a part time legislature like Utah has that only meets for a few months thereby limiting the amount of damage they can inflict on the population.
