That's very big of Hastings to proclaim considering that (1) Netflix is no longer an infant that can easily be suffocated in its crib, and (2) No doubt, existing f*ck-you-pay-me-deals with telcoes to ensure that its traffic will *not* find itself on dirt roads rather than the autobahn as a direct result of Pai having murdered net neutrality. However, I don't believe that Joe-Blow's-Ubetcha-brand-flix is quite on the same page.
I can't discern whether Masnick is being disingenuous or just plain dense. ISPs have just been given carte blanche by Congress to do whatever the hell they want with user data. Data privacy? Poof! Gone. Permanently. Data rights? What data rights? Poof! Gone away also. Historically, when there isn't a law prohibiting any given thing, the sky is the limit. Whose to do say definitively that the bobbleheaded executive boards of big ISPs that stand to gain from S.J.Res.34 won't decide to start selling piecemeal individual internet histories? You don't know, Masnick, and neither does anyone else. It doesn't help that you're spreading FUD and speculation as fact rather than opinion.
Funny how the only ppl complaining about #Brexit are those with something to lose - hundreds of thousands of biblical exodus refugees who are looking for a government handout and globalists. As for the 'faulty math' the UK is the 5th largest economy on the planet. Personally, I'm not 'retreating' anywhere. I know exactly what the story is with gunman Mercer. Like all the other mass shooters in the US, I would wage he was on prescription psychotropic medication such as anti-anxiety and/or anti-depression drugs. A study by the Mayo clinic concluded that 70% of Americans are are on at least one prescription drug, and more than half take two. And one of five patients are on five or more prescription medications, including anti-anxiety/anti-depression. This stuff changes brain chemistry and not in a good way.

The BMI clearly lives in SGA la la land, but that being said, the business owners' clearly lied about following atty advice because no atty with a law degree and license to practice would ever recommend NOT answering a complaint. Not even in Arizona. The owners made a bigger mess of the situation that could have been avoided had they not blown off the complaint.
