I see nothing but haters. No fanbois at all.
It warms my heart, actually. I've had nothing but contempt for Apple since 1985.
And if you guys are any indication, I'd say Apple stock has peaked. Sell 'em if you got 'em.
Why do we let this kind of craziness happen? Why don't we, as a society, stand up and point out that it makes no sense.
This is because a large percentage of people dream of painting a picture or writing a book which magically makes them millionaires overnight. I just talked to a friend this weekend, and explained how the Patent Shakedown works, where someone threatens a lawsuit without even giving up what patent was violated.
"Hey, we need to do that. I'd like to have an extra couple hundred G's lying around."
People know it's not fair. They just hope it can work in their favor some day.
Although I agree with 99% of what you are saying, "Stand Your Ground and Kill a Black Guy" is total BS. The first kid killed in one of these situations(which was heavily publicized) was an unarmed Japanese kid looking for a party. The problem with these laws is that they PROHIBIT the police from doing a proper investigation.
Has anyone ever noticed that people tend to think of others as behaving the way they themselves do? Kind, generous people believe that other people will generally behave in a kind and generous manner. Mean-spirited greedy pigs, on the other hand...
A better question in my opinion is, "if software on a computer makes a new machine, then why doesn't a record on a record player, or a DVD in a DVD player, make a new machine?"
Content is content. Mathematical algorithms are excluded from patents.
None of this makes any sense.
OK, so I sorta understand the "don't download from strange websites" one, but I couldn't get WTF it was with the photocopier and the external hard drive.
It wasn't public data, it was private data.
The only way they could have gotten this information was to query private, supposedly confidential records (credit cards, etc.)
THAT is what the lawsuit is about, NOT public information.
I heard this garbage on NPR and was immediately sick to my stomach. Why does the media continue to equate innovation with patents? It reminds me of a blog I read while investigating George Washington Carver, who only applied for one patent and then abandoned it because he wanted people to be able to use the things he invented. The author of the blog went on to say that Carver had not invented the things he had claimed to invent, and did patent searches to prove it.
Stupid people make my brain bleed...
Exactly. Someone needs to make a comic where each headquarters has a nuclear cloud above it, and lines of lawyers streaming from each carrying suitcases of cash and wearing shit-eating grins. The lines would intermingle in the foreground, with the lawyers from each side laughing and slapping each other on the back.
If you make internet file sharing more risky, are people more likely to go and buy music which they may or may not like, or will they just ignore new music and listen to what they already have?
My money is on the latter. Is a song really worth being kicked off the internet? No.
Here's one: try some evidence, dude. No, not your stupid book. "The bible is the word of god because it says so in the bible." Retarded.
This site is not, and should not be, your pulpit.
I have lots of Christian friends, and NONE of them would stoop to preach to me, much less to someone they don't even know. You want a bad example of a christian? Look in the mirror. Self-rightous jerk.
People used to say, "If God had wanted us to fly, he would have given us wings!" Now we have this guy wanting us to have a religious experience in the plain.
