A woman with such a poor understanding of how the web works
should be fired from a position of making recommendations of parliamentarians concerning the web. But her last tweet of July the 23rd seems to indicate she is quitting.
"Hungry family means I have to rejoin the (non-Westminster) real world. Suggest all those bloggers w made-up names (bless) do the same!"
"Why is it that people are willing to expose large quantities of information to private parties but don't want the Government to have the same information?"
Maybe because Facebook can't throw me in jail for breaking a law that is a secret? Ya think?
since they've already been granted immunity, why should they care? They took care of business. Too bad for all you sap Internet companies that don't know that
but much of it is freely available. That means that others could collect it too. That would mean that they have unauthorized access to classified materials.
I'm thinking that all those Big Data Advertising companies will need to be raided and shut down.
And then every ISP will have to be raided and shut down, since they have all the classified info as well, and they certainly don't all have security clearances that would allow them to access this data.
You know, many of us have jobs that are dangerous AND are surrounded by idiots. However, we don't get to shove old ladies around, or make criminal cases against people we don't like. That is a pathetic excuse.
Because really, how can a "thoughtful jurist" make a statement that she took part in an adjudication that had only one side? What the fuck kind of adjudication is that?
Hypothesize a mail-list for Syria/Iran, and a spambot sending out encrypted messages from random email address in US (typical behavior of spambots). How long until it fills the NSA's new facility? Show your work.
And since when is Immunity bad? Congress didn't seem to have any problem giving it RETROACTIVELY to a bunch of telcos, even if they broke federal laws. Just because someone asked them to.
Well, actually, there are many levels ABOVE TS, most used for clarification for who has a "need to know". So maybe it's right to say three, but the top one is further subdivided. Many of these subdivisions have been revealed over the years (but since I can't remember which have and haven't, I ain't naming any)
Or at least, that's how it was when I was in the Navy.
Shouldn't they be able to assume that they have a license up until they are notified that they no longer do, since initially they did? I mean, with a contract, you have to be notified (usually at least 30 days in advance) that you are terminating the agreement. Wouldn't this license work the same way?
