"On a personal note I object because then I would have to go back to my old habit of opening the hidden comments to report them, a habit I only recently overcame"
Personal attacks aside OOTB does have a point about Apple and their unfair advantage with cheap labour and immoral tax arrangements. However they are not alone with Google, Amazon, Samsung et al guilty of the same things. These things hand a massive advantage to these mammoth corporations at the expense of smaller companies who can barely get a foot in the door. This is one big reason the High Streets in the UK at least are dying.
Good ruling but the bad news is it will probably make the recording industry add such a clause to future record deals. These are extremely devious people being dealt with.
What a load of bollocks. You may as well claim Ford is facilitating drink driving, or that gun manufacturers are facilitating murder. Where would it end?
Then again, I would expect nothing less from that particular commenter.
I just did a Google search for 'Game of Thrones' which we all know is the most pirated TV show.
The results I got were the official website, Wikipedia and IMDB pages, Sky Atlantic website, Twitter page and some blogs writing about the show. There were no infringing websites in sight.
How many times must this stupidity be debunked before it starts sinking in? There is no scientific evidence for what they are asserting, this is just vultures using tragedy for their own end.
And this guy was once in charge of the agency monitoring communications for terrorist activity? He seems to have zero understanding of anything and if this is the calibre of person in US intelligence, I would be very afraid.
Too little too late. Trust in the tech companies and the government is gone. Once business contracts expire, I can see a lot of US based companies losing business over this unless they get radical, which I do not see happening.
