This is the same political party that used a song in an (awful) lip dub that it did not license (in fact they were turned down when they tried to license it -- so it was willful infringement).
"Now you can tell your kids not to waste time learning the cello, because there's no way to earn anything from the sacrifice, so don't go to orchestra practice. It's a waste of time."
So this loser thinks since you cant monetize your playing the Cello, its not worth it. So if you cant get cash, its not worth it. What a sad sad outlook on life. I hope he does not have kids.
But what about the kids trying to make it in this business? If you're not an established band, if you don't have a hit single, they're gonna drop you.
How is that related to the internet?
There are a lot of people out there as talented as we were, but they can't sustain being in a rock 'n' roll band for long without success.
In your days Stevie, but with the internet, that is just not true anymore.
Ehhh.. damn kids, get off my lawn!
John Cougar Menstrualcramp is still alive? Sorry, but his music sucked anyway. He was one of those musicians that while his music was playing on the radio made you say "Why are they playing this crap."
I have spent sometimes 10+ hours editing video. Was it work?
When you love to do something, money, or lack thereof, usually does not stop that person from doing that activity, they continue to do so.
I enjoyed it. I did it for free. Hours were involved, but it was not work. What others consider work, some find fun, and if you can find a way to get paid while doing something fun, then its a win win.
With the actions of our government over the past 10 years, I would not call them gullible. It sounds exactly like what they would do. Lets hope they don't get any bright ideas.
"Entertainingly, in support for your argument, you included a version of 701 in which you removed the very phrases that subject the statute to ejusdem generis analysis. While we appreciate your desire to revise the statute to reflect your expansive vision of it, the fact is that we must work with the actual language of the statute, not the aspirational version of Section 701 that you forwarded to us.
