Well, maybe, just MAYBE, the govt "idiots" weren't as dense as you might think. They got a win-win result: consumers aren't really hurt (except for the discount) and the really stupid retails have to live with what they asked for.
But the broadcasters can't see this benefit, just a knee-jerk reaction to something new. If they want "redistribution fees" they need to give up the ads !!
Not just a beating 1)give them to the CIA for interrogation, 2) sue the [heck] out of them individually for harassment, 3) jail them for child endangerment !!! Include the judge, the "cop", and all the school "admin" involved.
TWC was going downhill before Comcast/NBC bought them and really accelerated its ruin. They don't fix problems with their web site, have about 5 minutes per hour of real weather (rest is E!-like cr*p) and have figured a way to make the "Local on the 8s" graphics look like a 3 year-old's design.
Have you forgotten that "terrorists" don't need to take a gun on board a plane: the pilots have already done that. Anyone can just take it away from the pilots!!
Scott Adams had it right when Dilbert hacked NSA for info to recreate his files 'cause his backup was corrupt. NSA doesn't know what they have and have so much they can't find anything.
Since the NSA has all this data and have "cracked" some encryptions, does anyone think the "bad" guys won't hack into NSA and get the data and encryptions a pull very sophisticated scams?
