If I remember correctly (and please feel free to correct me) They bought it for nearly twice what it was worth and they wont be able to use it for a few years as it requires major renovations just to make it useful.
Starcraft used to be able to play offline but had to connect for multiplayer (not by design, there was a hack for it to do it) Now they updated it and yeah, can't do it anymore. Guess I will stop playing now.
