We all know that the level of stupid has surpassed the "hurts" layer - but does this show that our government is totally corrupt, or totally incompetent? Which index is higher? The GCI (gov't corruption index) or GII (Gov't Incompetence Index)..
... hmmm.. if I can get these on DowJones we can make a fortune betting on the one that goes highest...
... is to control the serfs for the benefit of the lords. And ours are the best in the world at doing so. No law shall ever be passed which is to the detriment of the lords, nor to the true benefit of the serfs.

*if* the defense attorney is at all aware of current interpretation of the law in various crazy courts - he will counter-sue Wood for CFAA, Impersonation, Slander (he WROTE that Wig stole his stuff)... and Wig will go free, while Wood goes to prison..

The future result
You leave work to drive home. You are immediately stopped by the police, arrested, and your car seized and forfeited.
What? Why?
Well, the cameras in your neighborhood recorded you leaving your house and getting to the interstate on-ramp. The timestamps show that you were doing 37mph average, therefore you were issued a speeding ticket. The interstate camera off-ramp timestamp shows you did an average of 78 on your way to work; ticket #2. The cameras by your office recorded your arrival with a calculated average of 43mph; ticket #3. Insurance company notified, cancelled your policy. Insurance company notified DMV, your license was suspended.
Hence, the arrest for driving on a suspended license with no insurance.
How's that for why to stop this NOW. The end-game mis-use and abuse of "public" information. Think it won't go that far? Wanna bet?

Set up a kiosk outside of every gun store in the state - renting Rahm Emanuel masks to be worn during the purchase...
Or setting up a full makeup/costume studio. Let's see how many George Washingtons and Lincolns and Jacksons and Franklins we can get on video buying guns...

only the telco needs the information
And only for billing - to figure out the portions of a call, or calls handled outside their home network (those pesky extra "roaming charges"). Once that has been done, the records can be deleted. And should be. The actual tower data could be anonymized to the network ID for that call segment... they don't actually need the exact transceiver ID - let alone the geo-coordinate triangulation from the 3 tower points they have now.

Or, we could just do the math.
558 MILLION drives sold in 2009.
If we go low, and say $49.95 "average" price - well, 2% of 50 bucks is a dollar.
So $1 PER DRIVE is a half a BILLION paid out. PER YEAR. and that is JUST on drives...wanna count blank discs too?
So... where is all that??? how much have the artists gotten of that?
That equates to 37,287,000 units (at $14.95) in your "lost sales" fantasy land.
