*old man in a rocking chair* That's right kids. Back in my day restaurants all had some craaazy ways of singing to you on your birthday. It was too costly to sing Happy Birthday.
I agree that the email is similar but must be different. I have my name as my email account (got it in 2004) and I get email from people with similar email addresses but have one letter different. I have received mortgage information (unsecured PDF with ssn, income, approval amount etc) flirtatious emails from women in another city and so much more. It's annoying but it's not google's fault. It's lousy people who can't properly share their email address with others.
What I can't figure out is where the problem really is. Are the agents on the phone lying to her or do they think they are resolving the issue but the documentation they are given is so poor that no one is doing the right thing? Is it that their systems are so poorly constructed that even simple requests are not complted? Is it that the teams above the phone support agents are terrible?
"...ignorant statements from folks like Steinbach..." I would argue that they are willfully ignorant statements. Steinbach knows what he's doing and is pushing this narritive on purpose. He is as aware as Lieu is of dark places, and how forty years ago they go along just fine. Steinbach just doesn't want to lose something that makes the FBI's job so much easier.
The pricing is what always gets me. It's nonsense that they can't give you a rate and make any attempt to stick to it. Promotional pricing is a joke and they know it or else haggling would never work. The fact that you can haggle over your bill tells you right away how overpriced it is even at the "lower" rate.
*sticks fingers in ear, closes eyes, and screams* NEVER USE IT EVER NEVER EVER!! IT'S EVIL AND HORRIBLE AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT SO NEVER EVER EVER USE IT!!!! /s
Here's a better idea. Find something better to talk about than television shows. Sure it's fun but this problem existed LONG before Netflix. We don't watch the same shows? I have HBO and you don't? Well shoot now what do we do??
How do we know someone from Internet Brands didn't post that comment in order to try and delist the entire thread? I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's what was happening.
It sounds like the police force wants to create Peaksville, Ohio where they get to be the monster who controls everything that the people do. Careful not to step out of line...or else! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It's_a_Good_Life_(The_Twilight_Zone)
If he love this country so much he should be fighting to protect first amendment rights. Especially those he doesn't agree with as those need the most protection.
You are right in that bottled water can be superior to public water sometimes. So if the MPAA made their product superior to the free stuff then money would be made. Seems to me the analogy holds up and is far from moronic.
So are we supposed to ignore the fact that the interview made +15 million online even though, as the article has stated, there were illegal free options available? You complete through convenience and service! If you can't then you lose.
That is some real arrogance there. My thoughts on unconstitutional data collection have not changed just because of one terrible tragedy. To suggest that is saying " I was right and you were wrong " without ever proving you were right. There is zero evidence that anything about this would be different with tons of data collected. Just look at the Boston Marathon bombing. It didn't prevent it, and didn't help track the men responsible after it happend. To use a tragedy as a way to promote an agenda is shameful and way out of line.
I have found though that seeing the latest episode of anything isn't a big deal anymore. We never talk about tv shows at work anymore becuase nobody watches the same shows, in the same way, at the same time. So if i see the "new" season of the walking dead a year later, then so what? I still enjoy it and haven't missed out on anything.
