Of course, this is just one way..
... others will be prosecuted for "fake news" - whereas when governments lie or publish mis/dis-information to their own people, that will be OK. After all, government propaganda would NEVER be used against its own subjects...

Imagine if..
... this kind of legal BS had been around a century ago - One manufacturer's cars would have a steering wheel for directional control and pedals for stopping and accelerating; another would use foot pedals for steering and one lever for stop/go; another would come up with something else - and it would be a nightmare to learn operate every different car you owned through your life. Computers went through this decades ago and we all determined that consistency was better than trying to remember PIP or CP or Copy or MV ...

Catch-22 lives!
So, if they de-list something, but don't do it globally, France or Spain or someone else fines them; if they do de-list it globally, Brazil (and others who follow this rule) fines them...
The end result being that if Google does "nothing", then 1/2 the world's countries will fine them; if they do "something", then the other 1/2 will fine them... 1/2 of 195 countries fining 4% of their global income, each event will cost 390% of their annual revenue. They should go broke fairly quickly. Which, of course, is the goal.
This morning, the leadership of the Democratic Party woke up, reviewed the results of the Presidential, Senate, and House elections and said "How did that happen? What do we do now?". This morning, the leadership of the Republican Party woke up, reviewed the results of the Presidential, Senate, and House elections and said "How did that happen? What do we do now?". For the first time ever, the leadership of both parties are in 100% agreement.

The machines are correct - and they show that the projection of our candidate being 11% ahead in the polls was also accurate. The losing candidate only got 48% of the vote, while our winning candidate got 59% - exactly 11% more. The machines were not tampered with by any external parties. Trust us.

An unfortunate series of events
As the US Gov't and various agencies thereof have forced themselves and their rules on other countries around the world, a US based business has a hard time saying "your laws only apply in your country".

I wonder...
If they are hiding billions in profits from the artists and creators, are they also hiding it from the IRS? Oh wait... they've already bought off the right politicians to get all the tax breaks they want. What's a few billion in unpaid taxes vs a few million in campaign contributions?
